BENGALURU: Seven fresh cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Karnataka on Tuesday morning taking the total number in the state to 415.
The seven includes a male patient from Kalaburagi, who died on Tuesday morning. The man was suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) and was admitted to the district hospital on April 19. He was also a known case of Parkinson’s disease for the last four years. He was bed ridden for the last three years.
With this, the total death toll in Karnataka is 17. Besides, this is the fourth death in Kalaburagi.
The newly found infected persons include four women. There have been three cases reported from Vijayapur and Kalaburagi, one from Dakshina Kannada district.
There are two SARI cases, including that of the Kalaburagi man who died. A 67-year-old woman from Bantwala in Dakshina Kannada with SARI has tested positive for Covid-19.
A 29-year-old man with influenza like illness has tested positive for Covid-19 in Kalaburagi.
On Tuesday morning, for the third consecutive day, no cases have been reported from Bengaluru.
